Seminars for Churches
The church is the only institution where true and genuine unity exists. Divisions are threats to this unity because divisions undermine the achievement of Christ on the cross. The seminars below are designed to equip churches to see the priority of unity as expressed and achieved in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. One aspect in which the world is to see the beauty of Christ is in the sustained and fought for life of unity among brothers and sisters in Christ, across different cultures and races (Philippians 2:12-15). This is accomplished, not by a passive nod to the need for unity, but from a commitment to live in the death of Christ so that the life of Christ might emerge (2 Corinthians 4:7-10). We must be the people who prove and proclaim reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:14-21).
A CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW FOR RACIAL HARMONY
This seminar will teach believers a biblical worldview of racial harmony as demonstrated in the redemptive purposes of God through Christ. They will also equipped with Bible based strategies that will guide them in how to think through the false narratives of the world and live out this glorious picture of the cross in the midst of conflict and struggle.
LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS FOR RACIAL HARMONY
This seminar is designed for pastors and other leaders within the church. Leadership is everything, but a particular kind of leadership is required for churches. This seminar will examine aspects of leadership that must be embraced to lead the church in the area of unity. Secular books on leadership have caused leaders to think about this issue in polarizing ways. This seminar will center the leader in the work of Christ and show how the redemptive-historical acts of God are the paradign for leading the people of God.
CHANGE AGENT LEADERSHIP
A Ten Month Cohort
This is a 10-month cohort training for those interested in giving leadership in this area of racial harmony in their churches. Those who choose this path will be equipped to be change agents within their church and community. For this reason, recommendations must be provided from your pastors and leaders, providing their affirmation of this role in the church.
